Friday, 22 July is World Fragile X Day, and along with 355 other landmarks around the world, including Niagara Falls, we will be lighting up our own local landmarks... tomorrow evening, look out for blue lights illuminating Douglas Power Station, Douglas Town Centre, Douglas Promenade, The Tower of Refuge, and The Ramsey Swing Bridge. Snap and share a selfie with one of the landmarks with #WorldFragileXDay

We are shining a light on this rare genetic disorder to raise awareness and highlight the progress of Fragile X research in identifying effective treatments. As the most common inherited single gene cause of autism, Fragile X is the best key we have to understanding it. Treatments for Fragile X are also likely to help people who have Alzheimer’s or other brain disorders.
