Rainbow Out and About!

Published Sunday 24 April 2022

Over the last term a group of pupils from the Rainbow Room have been completing a project as part of their Independence Skills lessons about ‘Engaging with my Community’ this is part of an ASDAN set of booklets whereby each pupil will gain a certificate at the end of the course. The pupils have completed sessions about where they live what there is in their community along with visiting many local sites of interest such as the Villa and Gaiety, the Energy from Waste plant and the Airport Fire Station. We also had visitors come into school from the Community Policing Team, Manx Wildlife Trust and Housing Matters. The pupils have thoroughly enjoyed this module and have asked some amazing questions to all of the people we have met, well done to all of the young people involved and thank you to all of the visitors and places we were able to visit.
