We believe that children make the greatest progress when home and school work together in partnership. Building strong, positive relationships with our families is very important to us, and we aim to maintain open, supportive communication at all times.
Parents and carers are always welcome to contact us with any questions or concerns. Your child’s class teacher will usually be your first point of contact, but if this is not possible, our school office will be happy to arrange an appointment with the most appropriate member of staff.
We also value being kept informed about anything that may affect your child’s wellbeing, so that we can provide the best possible support in school. In return, we will always keep you updated about any concerns regarding your child’s learning, health, or behaviour.
Keeping You Informed
In addition to day-to-day communication, we have regular opportunities throughout the year to discuss your child’s progress:
Autumn Term
You will be invited to a Parent Evening early in the term, where you can meet your child’s teacher and discuss how they have settled into their new class. You will also receive information about their attainment and targets.
Spring Term
A second Parent Evening provides an opportunity to review your child’s progress, discuss current assessments, and look ahead to their next steps for the remainder of the year.
Summer Term
You will receive your child’s annual written report, outlining their progress across the curriculum, achievements, and attendance, including any authorised or unauthorised absences.
Appointments for Parent Evenings can be booked through our online system, Arbor.
