A variety of sport and recreational clubs are held at Ballacottier Primary School during the lunch hour and after school including: football, netball, choir, keyboard club, table tennis, public speaking, tag rugby, athletics, cricket etc. which all operate at appropriate times of the school year. Clubs are designed to develop pupils interests and skills. Clubs are usually run by school staff who give up their free time to offer these opportunities. Pupils are expected to behave appropriately at all clubs to attend.

Details of how to take part in these various activities are explained to the children at the appropriate times. Parental consent forms are required for children who attend after school activities. It is in Key Stage 2 that the majority of clubs operate.

All children will, therefore, have their chance when they enter this key stage, as school clubs are not generally run for children in KS1.
